The annual demand of a product by Fesojaiye Nigeria Limited is 6,500 units. Ordering costs are N130, the basic unit price is N6.50 and carrying costs are 26% per annum.
Discount are available thus:
1,560 - 1,819       less  13%
1,820 - 1,949       less  20%
1,950 and above  less  26%
Required:
(a) Prove that ordering cost is equal to carrying cost if there is no discount
(b)What is the most economical quantity to order?
(c) State five each assumptions and limitations underlying the operations of the EOQ Model.
